A preliminary ecological appraisal has confirmed that the proposed turbines will not have a significant effect on local habitats or wildlife. As part of the project, precautionary measures will be put in place to protect nesting birds and bats, minimising any potential disturbance.

The turbine is designed to automatically shut down during extreme wind speeds. This is a standard safety feature that protects people or property from danger.

The turbine components will be delivered outside of peak traffic periods to make sure that local road users aren’t significantly affected. A detailed Transport Management Plan will be prepared in advance, setting out approved delivery routes, traffic management measures and delivery timings. The routes will be carefully assessed to assure they are suitable for transporting the components safely while minimising disruption to the local community.
