Community Consultation

Community consultation is carried out to make communities aware of, and have an opportunity to comment, on Major and National development proposals before they are finalised, and a planning application has been submitted. This process aims to improve trust and build positive relationships from the earliest stages in the planning process, where the views of the community are reflected in proposals.

The proposal seeks the construction of two 32,000 capacity free-range hen sheds to be located on farmland at North Mains of Cononsyth, Arbroath, DD11 3SA.

The public consultation period for this Major development at Cononsyth ended on 7thApril 2021. The planning application has now been submitted to Angus Council, full details of this application can be found on Angus Council's Planning Portal.

The proposal seeks the construction of two 32,000 capacity free-range hen sheds to be located on farmland northwest of Mains of Easter Meathie, Forfar, DD8 2LF.

The public consultation for the Major development at Easter Meathie has been ongoing since the 14th December 2020 and the live public event was held the 18th January 2021. The consultation period for this development has now ended.
